Phillip E Walker

Chief Executive Officer

Phillip holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and brings more than four decades of technical and engineering leadership experience.

His work spans low-power specialist electronics through to multi-kilowatt conversion systems, with practical judgement shaped by safety-critical environments, formal design reviews and long-lived equipment.

Stephen P Walker

Chief Technology Officer

Stephen holds a first-class B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science and leads Scorpex's current software offer across systems software, engineering tools, testing, integration and modernisation.

  1. Scorpex Electronics Limited is incorporated in Scotland as an engineering company. Early consultancy work includes specialist battery charging, RFID readers and embedded monitoring.

  2. Consultancy expands across defence and avionics programmes, including aircraft, vehicle and naval power supplies, control electronics and diagnostic monitoring.

  3. Scorpex supports satellite power conditioning, battery balancing and distribution systems, alongside a monitored subsea power platform.

  4. Software capability grows through sensor-control applications, device integration and supporting tools built in C# and Python.

  5. Power and control work spans renewable-energy inverters, inductive lighting, hydroponic control and multi-kilowatt AC-DC converter and inverter systems.

  6. Scorpex begins development of Media Smith, a focused desktop toolkit for converting, restoring and organising personal media.
